KINDNESS TATTOO AND GALLERY

A.B. is grateful to return to their original studio space upstairs in the Julia Building at 212 S. University in Carbondale with 9 new paintings. Inspired by the shapes and faces of friends, family, and performers they admire, A.B. created a collection of “A.B.stract paintings.” These works range in size from 8x10 to 36x36 and were painted on the glass of the metallic frames. A few of these pieces feature additional materials such as fabric, theatrical lighting films, and gold leaf to add texture and depth.

Originally Displayed at our gallery show SEEN: A Multimedia Art exhibition at The Varsity
PRIDE is a time for us to look back and reflect on how far we’ve come and pay homage to the people who have paved the way for our queer communities. This series reflects on what it means to stand proud in the shadows of these LGBTQ icons. Historic photos of Frida Kahlo (red), Harvey Milk (orange), Andy Warhol (yellow), RuPaul (green), Billie Holiday (blue), and Freddie Mercury (violet), were excerpted from their original context and reimagined with colorful silhouettes painted with India ink.

Haunted Hotel: Summoning Stories of the St. Nick
Join us this Halloween season as we summon the ghosts of the St. Nicholas Hotel in a haunted after dinner theater experience hosted by ARThaus Production. This show features ghost stories about local legends, music, shadowy figures, and even a murder most foul.
Tickets: $25 per person
Seating is limited buy early to ensure seating together for parties larger than 2.

If you would like a dinner reservation before the show please contact St. Nicholas Brewing Company by phone or online and indicate that you are attending the show. Cocktail service will be available during the performance, but food service will not be available. We recommend dinner reservations be placed no later than 6:30 to ensure a timely arrival for our spectors.
